Experience                      

Helen has worked as a Consultant Anaesthetic Doctor in the Hunter Region since 2004 & prior to this she was a Trainee in Anaesthesia, working within the Victorian & NSW Public Health System since 1995.

She works at the John Hunter Hospital, including their On Call Roster in the neonatal & paediatric anaesthetic area & paediatric & special needs patient groups comprising at least 50% of her work load. This work entails General Paediatric Surgery but also includes anaesthetics for thoracic & laparoscopic abdominal paediatric cases, as well as dental anaesthesia for individuals with special needs. 

In the adult realm, Helen works regularly to provide Anaesthesia for Orthopaedic Surgery, especially Upper Limb, Vascular Surgery & General Endoscopic procedures. However she is comfortable caring for all patients needing anaesthetic management across most surgical craft groups.

She maintains professional membership with Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, ANZCA, Specialist Paediatric Anaesthetists of New Zealand & Australia, SPANZA, & the Australian ASA & AMA all providing me with professional and educational support.
